GORE-TEX® in the Sneaker Game
The GORE-TEX material is waterproof but still breathable. This is because the material has small holes that are too small to allow water to penetrate. However, the holes are large enough to allow water vapour and air to escape. This way the sneaker is optimally ventilated and we still don't get wet feet. This material also appears in outdoor clothing, e.g. in the North Face jackets, and also in the ACG line the material is often found.

The Nike Air Force 1 GORE-TEX® 'Black' in test
But now to our new GORE-TEX Air Force and the question: What are they really like? The Nike Air Force 1 GORE-TEX® 'Black' has, you might have guessed, a black colorway with some subtle details. But before we discuss the details, let's take a look at the materials. The overlays are made of super soft black leather. Underneath there is a kind of net. The GORE-TEX material is located in the lining of the sneaker and subtly ensures that your feet stay dry and warm.
The thick sole, the robust upper and of course the GORE-TEX membrane make the kicks a perfect companion for the Autumn. We really like the design and the outdoor features the sneakers bring with them.
